WindCrest Stables is a full-care facility. It is our goal to provide a secure, safe, and friendly environment for you and your equine partner. Our facility is located approximately 7 miles from Downtown Salem in the West Hills off of Orchard Heights Road.
We have matted stalls, a spacious foaling pen, and several acres of pasture for daily turn out (weather permitting). Our indoor arena has sand/rubber crumb footing and is set up to allow for regular sprinkling to prevent dust during your riding.
WindCrest is the ideal retirement home for your senior equine. If your retirement dreams are to travel South for the winter, and they have been put on hold due to daily care - let us take charge! Short-term or long-term, we can work with you on basic care and specialized dietary, veterinary, and farrier needs. Health permitting, your horse will be led out to daily pasture or given personal exercise time. All other needs will be accomodated ie. cold weather blanketing or specialty senior feeds and/or supplements.
Owners Judith & Jerry Koschnick live on-site and keep WindCrest Stables open year-round for your convenience. Along with providing your horse with the best daily care, they also do a routine security check of the barn each evening before turning in for the night.
