It is our goal to provide a
secure, safe, and friendly environment for you and your equine partner.
We are a full-care facility located approximately 7 miles from downtown in
the west hills of Salem off Orchard Heights Road. We enjoy pastoral views of
tree farms, Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson and the city lights.
All stalls are
matted, the spacious indoor arena features sand and crumb-rubber footing. We
have secure tack rooms, hot and cold wash rack, indoor toilet facility and a
large foaling pen/stall available.
Scenic riding trails are nearby. We provide daily stall cleaning with clean, fresh sawdust shavings added as needed. Daily group turn-out (weather permitting) to our 7 pastures is provided. Most pastures feature fir-oak tree shade areas.
Private lessons are available for beginner to intermediate riders in both English and Western at a reasonable cost.
Training or exercise for both young and senior horses also is available at reasonable rates.
WindCrest is the ideal retirement home for your senior equine. If your retirement dreams to travel have been put on hold due to daily care- let us take charge. Short term or long term- we can work with you on basic care and specialized vet and farrier needs.
Health permitting, your hose will be let out to daily pasture, or given personal arena exercise time. All other needs will be accommodated such as fly spray, cold weather blanketing, specialty senior feeds or supplements.
Owners live on-site and we are open year-round for your convenience. We even do a security check of the barn each evening before turning in.
